The following story appeared in the 8.16.2011 print edition of The Herald-Gazette. We have now received another report on this person who went to a home on Jenkins Road in Monroe County and claimed to be selling children's books.

The man who came to Brent Road was over 6' tall Caucasian with blond hair.

For several summers a couple of years ago, college students emerged on Lamar County selling "educational books" for children. They seemed to focus on the Brent, Fredonia Church and even Community House Road area. The books were good, but the cost of this reference set was unbelievable. If I remember correctly, they were foreign students; they probably got duped into selling these books with a promise of aid for college. This may be totally unrelated, but I thought I would share.

Walter, Can you find out what kids were going to shoot up the High School on yesterday? I'm concerened about the saftey of my kids.

This is the first I've heard about threats at the HS. But I did notice increased security there this morning but didn't know why. I feel as a parent we have a right to know.

That' ok. The school bus drivers will get shot first. No one cares about the $7000 a year taxi drivers that have to put up with crap all year. We can find more drivers.

You know in everything you comment on you want to talk about white people. Please for real!! there are all different types of people who do crimes around here such as murder, robbery, drugs and so on. All this racial s--t is childish. Really grow up.

I have had the same vehicle with a blonde headed female at my residence in zebulon on Wednesday of last week asking me the same questions. She was blonde with a european accent. My fiance. Who is a police officer had a run in with her at his residence in meansville on Thursday afternoon. She had her hair in a nasty pony tail and short shorts and a t shirt. She too was in a red ford Taurus. Both times this occurred she was asking about children in the residence. We believe they are scouting around to see what you have or if you
have children and what not. She pulled her car
through the grass in my front yard and followed
me up the driveway. She was very suspicious.

it's alright for white people to slander black people all week long. but let a black person speak truth about white people drugs and internet sex crimes and child molesting then you have a problem. you tell me where we are going to lock up all these sick white people. now you grow up and come get me i need a ride to big chic. since there is no public transportation in lamar

He may make it past the dogs during the day, but if he comes here at night, the police can be waiting for him at spalding regional.

Get a JOB then you can get your own ride. There are white trash, Black trash all kinds of trashy low life people out there its not a white or black thing. Maybe things need to go back to the old days of how crime was handled then it would save us hard working tax payers money. I know plenty of fields with trees we can hang all them from. Also do away with foodstamps, make these people get out a work. I see several in this area who are getting free food but have the money to buy there drugs and alcohol and high dollar cloths. Really does the county check into these people.
