Lamar County will play its Region 4-AA football opener Friday night when they host Northeast Macon at Trojan Field. Kick-off is 7:30 p.m. This will be the second meeting between the Trojans and Raiders. Lamar won 21-13 in Macon last year.

Looks like another great year of Trojan football at all levels is on the horizon. Kudos to Coach Jason Strickland and his staff down through the middle school for the job they are doing with our young men. Come on Lamar County, let's get out there and fill up the stands and shake down the thunder on Friday nights!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!

Yeah apparently you are not allowed to bring air horns into the game anymore.

They should not allow those damn cowbells either then. I have yet to see a cow at any of the games and they are more annoying than the airhorns!!

You must have never went to an LC game. Plenty of cows to round up.

If you don't like it don't come. The more noise the better! When the crowd gets loud the boys get excited. Its called school spirit! Lets go Big Blue!

It's about supporting your football team not enjoying the peace and quiet. Let's go Trojans!! Let the thunder roll and everybody bring out your cowbells, if only to further irritate those who CLAIM to support these young men!!!!

Just because I don't jump up and down ringing a cowbell looking like a damn fool doesn't mean I don't support all these fine young men! Shake down the thunder but leave the annoying cowbells at home.

I kinda like the cowbells, I only know 1 person that bring that and BTW what bout the LCMS boys, they are doing great to, bring the cowbell, sounds good with the thunder!!!
