C&D landfill rears its controversial head again

A hearing is scheduled for March 31 in Lamar County superior court regarding the E.T. Carlyle Co.'s request to develop a construction and demolition landfill in northeast Lamar County off Possum Trot Road.

Here we go again. Until a Jurist gets the intestinal fortitude to make a firm decision on this issue, it will come up, come up, come up.
This is my hope the Jurist involved will act.

If the commissioners would get together and pass some local/county statues, all this stuff could be stopped before it ever got started.
