Greenco agrees to stipulations

With a court-ordered shutdown looming, Greenco Environmental principals Tim and Melia Lesko agreed Friday to a long list of stipulations demanded by Lamar County and will be allowed to continue operations until May 11, 2011.

Well, they were kinda between a rock and a hard place, weren't they, so of course they agreed to the stipulations.
The question is this: if they get their contract with Dekalb, will they act honorably here in Lamar?

Why all the deal making? I thought this was supposed to be shut down, according to a Judges order. These people have appeared never to be good for a promise they make. I think they should go, and the Commissioners need to wake up.

Why do the Commissioners believe that Greenco will abide by the stipulations now? When Greenco hasn't been abiding by the first agreement they made with the county.

Of course it's May 11,2012 that why there is so much drama in barnesville some idiots can't see past a typo. So yall have something to cry about a little longer until Greenco is gone and watch out who ever else tries to build in lamar county and yall cry about them.

Why don't you just go and inhale all the aroma of Greenco ... then you will cry too! It would be wonderful if your house could be permeated with that odor.

Hopefully the commission had the foresight to have Greenco sign a clean up contract with financial penalties if they don't honor their agreement. I don't like to see them get an extension when they deliberately violated prior agreements with Lamar Co and the EPD by disposing of dead animals (even if they were not from Emory), but at least the stipulations include clean up, which I believe was obviously necessary dealing with a business that fails to act honorably.

Because they had to post a bond and if they do not abide by the stipulations the site will be padlocked and shut down immediately.

I thought that one of the stipulations is that they would not turn the piles and stir up the odors right around Thanksgiving ... the odor is bad this evening so they are still stiring things up.

If you think that they have turned the piles then you need to call and report it to the Enforcement officer and the Commissioners.
