Despite the cold and windy weather last Thursday, sisters Linda Rainey and Sue Dunbar were among the members of the Azalea Garden Club who bundled up and decked downtown with garlands of greenery. All the new red bows were tied by city councilwoman Anne Claxton (not pictured) and brighten downtown Barnesville’s holiday decorations.
Illumination Celebration tomorrow
From giving thanks at a communitywide worship service to seeing Santa make his annual appearance in downtown Barnesville, this year’s Illumination Celebration is expected to draw some 600 people Wednesday night.

The Christmas tree was provided by the Chamber of commerse and decorated by Denise Sanders.
