Saturday, Nov. 26 will be celebrated in Lamar County as Small Business Saturday and it will be “Spend $26 on the 26th.” Receipts brought to the chamber office by 12 noon Dec. 1 will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to be spent at a chamber member business.

too much sales tax in lamar, have to support all that waste at the school system.

the ONLY place is shop in Barnesville is Ingles, Giant Mart and Ace hardware.......
the LOCAL building supply places are OVER priced---so i go up the road to the big box stores.... really sad-- i would like to give my money local if they decent prices....

Yeah, shop local. Sure, Wilbur, sure.

The SPLOST needs the money because there aren't any other sources of income for this stagnating backwater. Unless you count a dying textile industry.

I see where the money pit school system is talking about yet ANOTHER building project! Poor property owners.

Where will the tipping point be found and these parasites finally be dealt with?
