It seems as if Sadie Elizabeth McCook was eager to be the first baby of 2012 for Lamar County. After all, she managed the feat by coming into this world 16 days before she was due. Born at 1:12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, Sadie is the daughter of Cory and Margaret Allen McCook. She weighed a healthy 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 21 inches long.
