I don't have a problem with paying a person their worth. Obtaining a Doctorate isn't free nor inexpensive. People should be rewarded for obtaining knowledge that they can pass on to those willing to learn.
Just as I would want a skilled surgeon to save my life in a health crisis, I would also like to have the same highly educated teachers to educate my children and grandchildren.
So, if im reading that correctly that's just over $80,000/yr. Not bad. Hope this guy is a good as everyone is saying he is. Can't wait for the football season!!
What does a doctorate degree have to do with coaching football. Not a thing thats what. This is what's wrong with the boe now. Spending to much money when you could have gotten one way cheaper. Whose to say this one want win and run to something better.
whats wrong with you people?dont you know that football, baseball and basketball is the reason these kids go to school.dam# folks get it together.every kid knows all they have to do is play ball and they will become a pro NBA NFL player.they dont need an education.
Good question. His base salary will only be paid by the state if he is filling a "funded" teaching or support position. If he only teaches a couple of classes, most of his base salary has to be paid from local tax funds. So the question of how much he will teach is important.

Welcome Dr. Stephens and family.
