I agree that George Zimmerman should be fearful for his life. The taking of a human life is a terrible act. It makes it even more horrific if it is for money, drugs or material possessions - or just plain hatefulness.

How can the New Black Panther Party put a bounty on the head of George Zimmerman? Wouldn't that be considered a hate crime? Is it not the same as making a threat against a person(s) because of their sexual orientation or skin color or religious beliefs?

It is up to each individual to stop perpetuating the hate.

Show support for your neighbors and unity within your community. As different as we all may be, I just can't believe we don't all want love and understanding.

Very well said Jenifer. What Zimmerman did was so very wrong. I do believe he was gun happy and had a strong "take the law into my own hands" opinion.
However, putting a bounty on his head is not the way to go. What if the rolls were reversed and a white supremacy group put a bounty out for a black male?

Can't be a hate crime because black people can't be racists, black people can't commit hate crimes and black people can't do anything in life without liberal handouts (according to the DNC). The first two statements have been clearly stated by black leadership in this country. The third statement has been implied by the leadership of the DNC by their actions and their agenda.

But, putting aside my sarcasm, why aren't the Black Panthers being investigated for conspiracy? Or inciting to riot or inflict great bodily harm. And since it is a whole organization behind this, wouldn't the RICO statutes apply? And before anyone says all they are offering the bounty for is the capture of George Zimmerman, they know where he is. There is no reason to capture him. He has been cooperative with the police. So, what does that tell you they want to happen when he is captured? Wonder how the response would have been like back in the O.J. Simpson days if the KKK had offered a bounty for his his capture?

It is amazing what you can get away with in this country by screaming racism, homophobia, the rich are too rich, etc, etc. We are fast losing the rule of law and quickly moving to mob rule. And the crazy thing is most people are acting on bad, misleading information pushed by the media. People aren't even waiting aren't even waiting for the legal system to convict or acquit George Zimmerman.

Sad state of affairs.

And, what are you basing your beliefs on? There is no quote and no evidence to support your statements that George did anything wrong, that he was gun happy or that he wanted to take the law into his own hands.

If he provoked a fight in order to shoot Trayvon Martin, then he needs to go to jail and lose his freedom forever, as far as I am concerned. But, as it is right now, there is no evidence to support that was the case.

1) He followed Trayvon (not against the law and reasonable if you wanted to keep an eye on someone you did not recognize and thought might have criminal intentions).

2) He call 911 before he shot and before the physical altercation (hardly the act of a criminal or someone that thinks they are above the law).

3) He had a broken nose and a bleeding wound on the back of his head when police arrived. Trayvon did not have any such injuries. Does that sort of support his claim he was attacked?

4) Travyon was shot in the chest which means he was facing the shooting (meaning he was approaching, facing and/or in close contact face-to-face with the shooter).

5) George Zimmerman has not tried to run, hide or deny his involvement. He never secured legal counsel until threats against his life and the pressure to have him arrested began.

6) Witnesses saw and heard the physical altercation going for some time before the shot was fired.

7) The girl friends story about what she heard, what Trayvon said, etc, are questionable at best.

8) Trayvon Martin was a 17 year old, 6 foot 3 inch tall, 150 pound you man who was an athlete (football player, I believe). He was not the little child the media portrays him as being. He was very capable in physical confrontation of inflicting and enduring physical injury.

9) If you look up his Facebook page (assuming it is still up) you will find that he called himself a "gansta" and made references to gang related activities.

Again, not saying that George Zimmerman did not overstep his bounds and commit murder. Just know that I nor anyone else not directly related to the case know anything other that what the media are spoon feeding everyone.

I don't think anybody knows enough yet to know if what Zimmerman did was wrong. That remains to be seen. The media is reporting stuff it has no facts on. If he is in the wrong I hope he goes up for the death penalty. I hope if he was in the right that the black panther party along with John Lewis and all the others protesting offer their apologies. The fact that Zimmerman has yet to be arrested leads me to believe LEO knows more than we do.

strange how the media shows the outdated years old pictures of travon to make him look so innocent and then show the picture of Mr. Zimmerman in jail items.

plain and simple they are just looking for something to riot and loot about so they can get some free shoes and tv's

You are right. They post his fourth grade photo with his sweet baby teeth smile. Those teeth have been long gone and were replaced with gold ones. His GANGSTA snapshot is long gone from the computer now.

His Mother is placing a patent on his name! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? They are calling him a martyr. (Noun: A person who is killed because of their religious or other beliefs.) CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?

The Mother has traded her grief for $$$$$ using her dead son as the selling point.

She will make more than 30 pieces of silver. With the Million Man march, she will make enough to buy Michael Jackson's estate.

The mother of slain teen Trayvon Martin wants to trademark her son's name in the slogans, "I am Trayvon" and "Justice for Trayvon," according to two petitions filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Federal documents show Sybrina Fulton, the teen's mother, is the owner of the trademark petitions, which were filed online March 21 by her attorneys Kimra Major-Morris and Natalie Jackson of the Women's Trial Group.

The trademarks, if granted, would cover digital materials, including DVDs, CDs and audio recordings featuring Trayvon. Each trademark application costs $325.

I sincerely hope this case is handled with real justice. Not to please the white haters and black haters. Al needs to get on back to The White House in case obama needs his help to make a decision. The officials in charge of this investigation need to reach a decision based on LAW. The Black Panthers are nothing more than dark skinned KKK members. If you run out of hoodies...just get a black sheet and black pointed hat, because you are as sorry as the KKK. Why would Daddy Black Panther go and pawn a gun when he is already a FELON? No reason except to get Big Al to come and defend him with A MILLION man March.

March people march....march our country right on into Communism. With our current Dictator ....you most likely will not even wear out one pair of Nikes before you get your way.

Nzinga recently announced on CNN that his group was offering a $10,000 reward for the capture of George Zimmerman, the man who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla. CNN identified Nzinga as the chief of staff of the New Black Panther Party.

According to a DeKalb arrest warrant, Nzinga was in possession of an FN Herstal 5.7 x 28 handgun, which investigators said he pawned at a shop on Rockbridge Road. That alleged transaction would be illegal due to Nzinga’s convictions last month for felony deposit account fraud in Gwinnett County, the DeKalb Sheriff's Office said.

(I wonder if his "one phone call" went to Big Al?)

This is a lightening rod and I for one am quite upset with the way the electronic media (TV) keeps pushing this in front of the viewing public.
I watch little TV but have been traveling and have been subjected to television while visiting, in waiting rooms and in lobbies. And hearing this horrifies me.
Really, do we need any more hatred and racial division in this country?

Why would any decent Mother let little Trayvon walk to the store alone? A little 10 year old boy should not be out alone in the rain. He looks so sweet in the little picture on the hoodies, doesn't he? Is he the only fourth grader who is 6 feet 3 inches tall. That shows you clearly that skittles do not stunt your growth.

Divide and conquer - right?
If we as a people allow ourselves to be divided by this issue, then we allow the evils of this world to distract us from the real situation which is justice.
Black and white Americans all feel they are carrying a burden: being singled out and put on trial because of the actions and words of others.
In essence we really cheat ourselves and our children by teaching them to do the same when we allow hate groups to encourage such behavior and mindset.
Thus, we are divided and conquered.

In response to the people who have emailed me, (to which I do not reply) to inform me that the "stand your ground law" means you can shoot people on your property..you are all racists and bigots. The stand your ground law has absolutely zero, nadda, zilch to do with your property and land lines. It is a law which allows you to stand your ground if you are threatened or in fear of your life. As in "standing your ground to survive physical harm." I have no idea if you are black or white and could not care less. In either case you are ignorant of the facts. This case, most likely, of justifiable homicide that was lawful in all aspects, has become a circus of fools. Why would any decent Mother buy a trademark on her sons death so she can get money? What a sorry Mother. Why would she put his fourth grade picture sporting his baby teeth on the hoodies? She should post his bling gold teeth, shouldn't she? Show her love. She loved him enough to buy him gold teeth. Why isn't she posting his famous TWEETS so the children of the future will have his vast knowledge as future classrooms worship his Martyrdom? Google them and you will know that answer. The N word and MF word is so frequent that it sounds like an Ebonic Dictionary. She is a money hungry, greedy selfish person who wants MONEY from her sons death. Why are the students who busted into the drug store in Sanford not charged? Two or three of the embiciles are bragging and pointing their picture out to the reporter who is holding the surveillance tape. The store manager should have locked the door after they were all inside. BUT...I am sure he would be guilty of some felony. He would be holding sweet little kids HOSTAGE, right? I feel true sympathy for the well reared African-Americans who will suffer the brunt of this jungle activity.

A stand-your-ground law states that a person may use deadly force in self-defense when there is reasonable belief of a threat, without an obligation to retreat first. In some cases, a person may use deadly force in public areas without a duty to retreat. Under these legal concepts, a person is justified in using deadly force in certain situations and the "stand your ground" law would be a defense or immunity to criminal charges and civil suit.

I know everyone in Readerland must remember Channon Christian, 21 and Christopher Newsom 23 from Knoxville, Tennessee. After all Knoxville is only 203 miles from Atlanta. You remember them, right? I did NOT think so. Will you remember Trayvon 5 years from now? Oh yeah, you will. Sanford, Florida is 441 miles from Atlanta, but you will remember his name.
