Two of three Lamar softball teams won first round games Thursday in Milledgeville.
UPDATE: The U8 Stars tied for third place in the tournament and won the Sportsmanship Award.
The U10 Stars were in a three-way tie for first place, resulting in pulling names of teams that had a bye for the championship game. Therefore, they are considered state runners-up. They received team and individual trophies.
The U12 Stars were eliminated in the second round after losing their first two games.
