Turnout at Lamar County polling places today has been moderate thus far today and there have been multiple issues with voters on the rolls with the wrong address and at least one longtime voter who was not in the system at all.
In addition, elections supervisor Anita Reid reported that Joe Buice has met all signature requirements and has qualified to run for sheriff as an Independent candidate in November.
Moderate turnout, addressing issues reported

Wonder if this little mix up will have some ramifications, ie, recount?

It was very frustrating to go to your usual polling place only to be told that you were not on the list but others in your houeshold were. I had to wait for someone elsewhere to find a book and let them know just where I needed to go and vote. I almost did not bother. This was a serious inconvenience.
