Lighthouse owner charged with arson

The state fire marshal's office is reporting the owner of the Lighthouse Restuarant has been charged with arson in connection with a devastating fire there last month.

GREAT JOB to everyone involved in the investigation. It is sad that their are so many unsavory people in the world trying to cheat the systems.

This is very sad, they seemed to be doing very well, I can't imagine the reasoning in his mind. If he is an "owner" I wonder how the insurance company will handle the claim...so sorry for all involved.

A lot of problems with the interworkings of the family. Some wanted to work and some just wanted the money it made without doing work. But I do know this his grandparents are rolling over at oak hill cemetery. All they wanted was for their family to be well taken care of after they were gone. They were hard workers and good people. They raised two daughters the same way. This child just did not catch on. Please continue to pray for sherrie as she works thru this and her illness at the same time.

We do need to remember that he has only been charged not convicted...its easy to forget that sometimes :)

folks dont forget,this "IS" Lamar County! as much money as this family has and as well known as they are im sure this too will get swept under the rug or some kind of a good'ol boy closed door deal will be made.

OMG-- He has only been charged. Let him have a fair trial before you crucify him.He is innocent till proven guilty.
