Between Friday, March 20, and Thursday, March 26, the sheriff's office made the following arrests:
Sonia Mowanna McFadden, 40, probation violation;
Jonathan Stanley King, 37, Forsyth; probation violation;

You can tell when Sheriff Waller is in charge, the medians are full of Patrol car tracks! Let the grass grow, turn around somewhere else.

No it doesn't and neither does it belong to you or the deputies, Look at Griffin they have beautiful medians because their patrol cars don't turn around in them. Get the bad guys for sure but lets leave the grass alone, it looks like a play ground for idiots!!!

At least they are doing their jobs, leave them alone. It's not like they have a lot of places to choose from I mean after all, they could be eating donuts somewhere.

No it starts with people like you who don't care and invades people like us. All I'm saying is please stay off the grass , keep Barnesville looking nice instead of looking like a go cart track and a call another deputy to pursue or turn around somewhere else.

You must be one of the deputy's.

After reading the idiotic comments on here, I had to do a double-check to make sure I wasn't on Milledgville's web site. You people sure have a way of making Barnesville look appealing to an outsider, what with all your squawking about smushed grass and all.

If I'm in trouble, then I don't care where they turn around as long as they're there to help me. And likewise, if my teen driver is speeding and/or driving in such a manner as to cause harm to himself or others, then I don't care if they do a triple donut in my front yard to catch him, as long as they do it before harm is done.

I swarny, you people beat all I've ever seen. You'd argue that a black snake was white just for the sake of arguing. Get a life, already!

If Iwere in need of help, I wouldn't care where the law turned around, I would just want them to hurry up. A few tire tracks don't bother me. Another thought, how do you know all the tire tracks are made by the Law?Just asking!

I live close to the by pass and see the deputies doing it all the time, it's supposed to be against the law for us citizens to do it. Just dive from Barnesville to Griffin and count all of the tire marks. It didn't happen over night but if the State lets it keep going we will have mud holes for medians. I'll be sooooo glad when the State puts those poles in the center to keep everyone out.
Anyone wanting to move here will take one look and say this town is a speed trap like it was many years ago and they have no regard for how their town looks as long as long as they get a few extra bucks. NEVER again will I hook my truck to a cops car and pull them out of a ditch from turning around in the middle of the road !

the state doesn't keep the grass cut. at least the deputies are preventing wrecks due to high grass.

Not to worry. With all of this rain, the grass will grow and cover up those sneaky little culverts that the cops love running into so much. A few cars that are totaled in the median will curb that practice. And, I agree, it is unsightly. However, it is a good way to warn speeders. How many of us who are traveling out of town would see those tracks in the median and know to slow our tails down -- immediately. Of course, we do need the money from the tickets.

I think that Buice was a much better person for the job, and that Waller is only worried about making the papers talk good about him and making money. I say they should back off of the traffic and focus on the bigger crimes. Also Nothing gets done to people in this town who have money or are related to him. Not saying Buice was perfect but he was better than Waller!

Be careful with allegations. If you can't prove what you are saying, then it is heresay and can cause a lot of unnecessary problems. By the way, do the husbands of the Ingles employees stand guard over their women? If so, then the deputies could possibly be eating there. Just a thought.

I agree, but Barnesville is not a bad town for speeders and why aren't the speeding tickets posted with speed and fine charged in our news paper like all the other stuff? I for one would like to see that. Example...John Dow , speeding on Thomaston street, doing 40 in a 35, fined $xx.xx , if it were posted in the paper then a lot of those speeders would stop and think.

Adam, guess you never heard that a relative of Buice was in one of the apartments that they raided, did you? If you think Buice did a better job, I guess you don't want much for the money. Also, I can easily remember a lot of times that dear ole Joe's picture was in the paper, so I don't think your comments are totally accurate. When the deputies make cases against people who break the law, it does bring revenue into the county, and it is much needed. Please name names of these people who have money or are related to him who break the law so we can all enjoy the joke.
