Sanford Brooks succumbs
Sanford Brooks, who had probably been in every home in Barnesville over the years working as a plumber, electrician and air conditioning man, died Wednesday. He was 84.

He probably has been in every house in Barnesville. He helped many people. He always was fair with his prices. He always worked with people. Walter I remember him leaving his own families Christmas one year to go to your house to fix something. He never hesitated just said Walter and Laura have company coming and I have to go fix it. As he talked about dieing his mind was still on his many friends and customers. He said I have to be at the funeral home in Barnesville. My old people wouldn't be able to go anywhere else. He was a wonderful man. He was loved dearly by his family and will be missed very much.
