Ten area nonprofits were the beneficiaries of the Barnesville-Lamar Community Foundation, which gave out 2012 grants at its first ever press conference at the United Bank conference room in the former FNB building.

This is such a generous community. Where I come from the Community Foundation relies on the proceeds from a rather large golf tournament. Barnesville looks out for its own. That was proved after the tornadoes.

This is a great town. Annette there is a call for Leadership Lamar applicants...you should look into just how great this community really is!
