Another brutal, senseless, inexplicable and certainly inexcusable tragedy has struck another school and community in our country. Our hearts and prayers reach out to the families of the victims, all of the school family, and to the entire town of Newtown, Connecticut.

An increase of solid families with caring parents will go a long way to stopping the dysfunctional madness in American society.
Behind every bully, stalker, and problem like this is family, friends, and/or parents who absolutely KNOW someone isn't normal, and tell themselves "he's a little over the top but he'll never hurt anyone".
There are clear signs of this, like inability to feel empathy or compassion for other life. This includes animals. We need to take animal cruelty for what it is, a sign the people are not normal and need help.
Another trait is the mentally ill think the world is unfair, full of bad people, and out to get them. They are often closet bullies who go after anyone who crosses them and does not give them what they want. They hang around those who they can manipulate and use, and hate those who won't let them have their way.
This is far more than praying our particular God-of-choice takes over and does what we should be doing, because we refuse to use the insight, intelligence, and and countless other skills He has given us. Unless we each eventually want to be in the arena with the lions, we need to stop asking God to do what he has already given us the tools to do for ourselves.
Instead of praying for God to help the mentally ill, we should pray for God to help us start using the metal tools He has given us to solve problems, and ask God to help us find a way to create a system where these people can get help before they become murders.
We can't pray someone into good mental health until we quit ignoring their unstable behavior.

For me, all I am saying is that issues like this need to be addressed on a broad front consider all aspects, but just a narrow perspective.
what we need is to kick these kids lazy,fat as@'s out from in front of the computer and TV throw their silly phones in the trash and start teaching them right from wrong.stop beleiveing this ADDHD bull crap,stop making excuses for the lazy things and start being a parent and not their friend!!
Funny how people like you decry God when something goes wrong, but the rest of the time have no use for Him. Funny to me that you talk about how He "sat back" and turn around and say you have no use for Him.
The God I serve hates what happened up in Connecticut on Friday, but man decided a long time ago they prefer evil over the protecting hand of God.
Where was God? He wasn't invited. But, it's ok, because he was waiting there at the gates of Heaven to receive those little children because humans prefer evil over the righteousness of God. So don't hold Him accountable when you don't want Him involved in our day-to-day lives!
who am i you ask? your neighbor,your fellow worker,the person who checks out your goods at the store,the policeman,the doctor,the teacher Ect.. thats who i am. a free-thinker .
I'm sick of hearing about Guns, Gun, Guns. Evil doers kill people, not guns. One more thing, Timothy McVeigh used a fertilizer bomb in 2000, not a gun and he killed 168 people, 19 of which were children under age 6, how soon we forget.
(God did not do this. This world is of satan and it shows every time evil takes on another form and harms innocent lives.)
