Oh my goodness! How terrifying that had to be for his Mama. And what a wonderful response from the authorities. I'm very glad that it turned out well. Yay Barney!
The possibilities are endless as to where that type of use of common sense could lead. I personally think that there is way too much hushing going on around these parts.

but the sad thing is,thats as far as it will go,talking.thats it.the people of lamar county are far to scared to ask any questions.they know their place.the past elections prove they dont want change.they want they same old good ol'boys running the show.they sit and whisper in their bedrooms,standing alone with a friend,in the corner at church. talking low so no one will hear.sad but what can you do?
