Passersby observe as emergency personnel attempt to resuscitate Julia Colvin after her car was hit by a Mack truck driven by a Barnesville man. Colvin later died at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. (Photo: Will Davis, Monroe County Reporter)
People have to realize big trucks do not stop like your car does and if you try to save a few seconds it may cost you your life. I'm sorry they will have to endure the pain of losing someone close to you.
Caption should have read...'Passersby rudely stick their noses into somebody elses' personal business.' That lady was fighting for her life and they're all standing around like it's real tv or something. The lady obviously had emergency personnel attending to her. You sicko's go home already.
This could be me or my sister or my friend. My heart goes out to her loved ones and to the other driver. I know people will gather around them during this time.
Did you ever think that this were the people that were first on the scene or witnesses and were asked to hang around by law enforcement? From my experience with accident scenes, they don't generally just let people stand there staring over the EMT's shoulders. It is amazing to me that from one picture you were able to determine everything that was happening. Perhaps if it bothers you so much you should just move along and not comment on the photo. Or, maybe you could express sympathy or something useful. Just a thought.
How insensitive, everybody makes mistakes, even you. That's why they call them accidents. How would you like it if she was a family member of yours and some fool wrote a comment like you did.

I know at least 5 people in this picture. One of them is a tow truck driver with a company in Forsyth, so I would assume they are there to pick up the car/s. Two of the women are workers of the vet clinic from which the lady just left (NOTE: their uniforms from Dr.Caldwell's office), and one of the men standing nearby is a co-worker of the truck driver (I would assume there to help him out, etc.) I'm sure some of the gentlemen standing around are volunteer firemen, just there to lend a helping hand. You people are rediculous.
The lesson is very simple, drive into the path
of a heavy truck and you probably meet your maker.
Don't be squeamish, face reality.
Like it or not, we live in a world of violence
and mistakes can be violent.
Kudos for the picture!!!
