wow!!....at first, I thought that was a picture of Big Daddy's pad. He used to have some smoking hot parties like that. There was so much stuff being smoked out there it lit up like that sometimes and appeared to be on fire!
It was a sad occasion especially for the owner. The barn, a landmark in the Redbone Community, was built in 1921 by Mr. Otis Owens and the present owner has had it since 1951.
The old barn had not fared well during recent years. Termites, powder post beetles, rot, and finally wind had taken their toll and rendered it unsafe. The decision to burn it was not an easy one but it was the only practical one. Special thanks are due to Steve Andrews and his firefighters for their assistance.
I saw that picture of the old barn fire but does anyone know what happened on April 24,2009 on Hwy 18? What ever that fire was it could be seen @ Ingels in Griffin.

"Both departments". Remember? Don't forget. Barnesville and Lamar County Fire Department. O.K.? You miss it.
Please don't be so quick to prove me wrong. Remember, my friend, "glass houses."
I was not there so I only have the report of the people actually on site.
