Mrs. Pearl Lou Knight Kemp, age 67, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born on Tinkerfield Air Force Base in Oklahoma to the late Mr. Von Wilson Knight and the late Margie Lou Compton Knight, she was raised in Antioch Baptist Church but was a current member at Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Kemp had retired from The William Carter Company.
Survivors include her daughter, Ginger Cannon (and Michael) of Griffin; one sister, Betty Knight Patterson of Barnesville; one sister-in-law, Betty Kemp Vaughan (and Leo Camp) of Griffin; two grandchildren, Ashley Cannon and Nicholas Cannon; four nieces, Tonya Chapman (and John), Kim Jones (and David), Karen Darmody (and Kevin) and Julie Cooper (and David); and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Kemp and her husband Mr. John Kemp will be conducted Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Newman and the Dr. Jeff Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
