A routine traffic stop Feb. 7 in Monroe County resulted in the arrests of three alleged shoplifters who hit up stores at Tanger Outlet in Locust Grove

Three Macon women have been arrested and charged with felonies after a traffic stop on I-75 south today, February 7, 2014. Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputies stopped a blue Grand Marquis around 3:00 p.m. today after observing the vehicle had extremely dark window tint. After making contact with the four women in the car it was discovered that around $500.00 of stolen goods were in the floorboard of the vehicle.
One passenger, who was not arrested, told deputies that the stolen items, which included baby clothes and cooking pans, were stolen from the Tanger Outlet (Polo, the Children's Place, Old Navy and Levis) or Wal-Mart in Locust Grove.
Nyreshia Smith, 23 years of age, charged with: Giving False Statements in a Government Matter (felony). Smith has several prior charges that included Identity Fraud, Criminal Damage to Property and Passing Fraudulent Checks and has warrants from Bibb, Upson, and Dodge Counties.
Parscha Clark (driver of the vehicle), 20 years of age, charged with: Driving on a Suspended License and Window Tint Violation. She also has a warrant for her arrest from Henry County for Disorderly Conduct.
Kiana Cummings, 18 years of age, charged with: Giving False Statements in a Government Matter (felony). She also has a warrant for her arrest from Bibb County. This is her third arrest for shoplifting.
The stolen items were turned over to the Locust Grove Police Department for the prosecution of shoplifting charges. The Grand Marquis was impounded. All three women were taken to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office Jail after arrest.
