Just 10 short days after he was fitted with an ankle monitor to track his whereabouts after an alleged probation violation, former Barnesville municipal judge Henry Abreu is in trouble again.

He should never been given a ankle monitor. He should have went to JAIL and now he finally gets to. Justice will finally be served.

This guy better not get another "one more chance". It is a joke this psycho isnt in prison already. This will be a test of our local system to make sure he stays in jail, where he deserves to be.

lets see if money talks and bullcrap walks. If he goes to prison we will know that things are operating down the middle. I believe he will coax his way out of this with money. I think everyone who sentences or plays a role in stuff like this and other cases should be given a lie detector test to see if they have accepted money in return for a lighter punishment. It should be mandatory. There is so many ppl in Lamar county that gets/have gotten into tons of trouble that should have landed them in prison on the first offense and they get off on probation. Better yet they get in trouble while on probation and get probation for that. Its went on for years and will continue until we get rid of some of these old ppl that are out for the money instead of justice. If they are a menace to society get them out of society. Who cares how much it costs to house them. Screw that. How much is it gonna cost to keep up with their sorry butts and investigate more crap they get into.

This man is very defiant and is making our court systems and Judges look like incompetent idiots. He is a dangerous man that should be put in jail. To the Judges: the citizens are watching to see how you handle this and rest assured you will know our opinion at the next election!

Why would the judge think that Abreu's probation officer's suggestion should be ignored? You appoint a probation officer, he deals with this man, he wants him violated and the judge ignores the recommendation.
I'll remember this during the next election.

What's this about money talks and bullcrap walks. If Abreu had money, he wouldn't be working in a pool table company at the present.

He had/has connections. Someone keeps running interference to keep him from talking. Just think back to the events when he was first charged in the sheriff's sting operation.

He may have a little story to tell if he gets prison time.

Seriously, voters need to remember this next election. Towliga circuit needs an overhaul. Abreu is showing his arrogant defiance to our courts and they need to JAIL him.

money does talk. Ive known him for over 10 years and he has been involved in all kinds of stuff that goes beyond this stuff here. He has/had money. He couldnt show it on paper but he had it. Not sure what his finacial situation is TODAY but dont let this con man fool you folks. Im sure he and a lot of others have stuff they can hold over other ppls head. The idea of him working with pool tables isnt really a good comparison. Mike Vick is working construction for $10 an hour but if you think for one minute that idiot dont have a few million buried somewhere you are dumb. He got released to a 75k SQFT home said WSB750AM. He cant pay the taxes on that making 10 bucks an hour.
Abreu has something up his sleeve and funds somewhere.

He has been openly doing illegal things for many years now, but people let him slid. This is not new and not a secret.

My money is on him having damaging information on people that have influence or power. We should remember who has worked to keep him on the streets next election even though one of his biggest supporters wields political power but is not elected.

We need to change this stuff. This local power system is broken. If we can't fix it locally we will never fix Washington. Where there is one rat that gets trapped there will always be several others.

Name withheld, you are giving Henry way to much credit. Everyone who knows him knows he is a blowhard...and always has been. He isn't Don Corleone or Tony Soprano. This isn't a movie. He is going to prison. Once there, he is going to b beaten, victimized, and most likely, sodomized. If you were a fly on the wall and could actually see what happens to him once he makes it to prison, you would feel sorry for him.

#14 dont believe everything yourself. Henry will catch PC the minute he steps out of the car at Ga diagnostic classification prison. He will get sprayed down and issues state stuff and go directly to PC (protective custody). I cant see him staying in GP (general population). With him being an Ex-Judge he may go to wayne st prison after jackson. I think that is the name of the instution of ex police and stuff like that. Im not really sure how they will treat this case. Then again he may not even go like i said before. Money talks.

I just hope he doesn't fool the mental evaluation that was ordered at the last court hearing. He is a snake in the grass and I wouldn't put it past him to try to fake being mentally ill to get out of this. That would be a shame. If he does he should be commited to to a Central State. He probably belongs there anyway.

Ms. Cornelius, perhaps you should allow yourself to see that the nice gentleman you knew from horse shows, etc. is NOT the same person we know here in this town. Mr. Abrue, I'm sure has some good qualities such as those you attested to in a previous post. However, he has fallen off the pedestal in Barnesvile/Lamar Co. due to his illegal shenanigans. In my opinion, he has been given chances that the average Lamar Co. citizen would not have been given.

The first incident with the girls looked bad, and although he was presumed guilty, it is possible, the girls were just using him to get beer and not ever intending to do anything with him. And like most good friends, Henry's stuck by his side in a bad situation. But when he followed that incident up with a dui and whatever happened at the nursing home and the text messaging...all those friends are now running for cover. So politically, he is a toxic asset and will forever be. Any friend of his who holds power has dropped him like a bad habit. Remember, he made a fool of the judge in less than 10 days. My prediction is the next time he appears in court will be the day he finally understand the error of his ways.

The girls are not the first incident. Don't kid yourself.

The first time I met Abreu was when I called a few real estate brokers out here to look at some land. Within minutes he offered a total stranger cash for land and to write up the transaction for a different amount saving "capital gains and other taxes".

In all my life I have never met any other real estate broker who openly initiated an offer to pay cash and break laws.

Since he made that offer to a total stranger you can bet it is an extension of a long pattern or history. Other people have to know this. Perhaps the reason they are silent is they have actually been involved in shady deals.

I reported it to a personal friend who is a Federal Judge, but before that went anywhere (it takes a long time for them to do anything) Joe Buice got him. The girls came a long time after that, so he just didn't go awry with that incident. That's when he finally had someone buck the local system and bust him.

I believe you because I have heard you tell the same story on here several times and I that doesn't surprise me a bit. But Henry ain't all that trust me. He is going to the corner of 36 & 75 real soon.

That wasn't the first incident. It was the first time charged. Don't forget why we changed Sheriff 4-1/2 years back and what finally happened to the protected ones when that change was made.

I have to comment on the shock of you people out there over illegal behavior from realtors and brokers. I have had my property listed down in Florida for over two years(before the big crash) and I am on my second agency after the first one refused to advertise anywhere but Realtor.com, in spite of their bs contract. I need to sell because of a pending lawsuit between the brothers who I purchased the land from.The board of realtors made the first bunch release me and now with the second pack of wolves I am on my third contract with new issues popping up at least every other day. The ony time I discover problems is when I email or phone these people. I am hardly ever notified without my initiating communication.I am now ready to throw in the towel because long ago I found out that the word professional hardly decribes most attorneys(judges too) and now the realtors have turned scumbag.

Henry Abreu has not always been a scoundrel, maybe becoming a realtor,municipal judge(politician), thrust him into an arena of opportunity.There are alot of easy pickings for those who have opportunity and association.

It has always amazed me at how much people know about what a man is inside. They must be very proud of their convictions.

What do they know of having a massive stroke?
Could it be considered due punishment? And, if so, has God taken his hand to the problem.

This man has and will get his punishment.

But, will even God's hand quieten the voices of this small town's evil tongue?
