not as in buggy days but tech-wise....this is a natural occurrence, so they tell me, as all the servers get pointed in the right direction. if you have persistent problems, call our office at 770.358.NEWS or shoot me an e-mail. and, thanks for reading.
...just sayin'
So, does anyone have any suggestions? I would love to hear them.
Also, check out the Classifieds page. It now has imagery and makes the listings much more interesting.
The new site looks great! I appreciate your willingness to place portions of BHG online so that out-of-staters, such as myself, can keep up with the happenings in my former adopted hometown. I may've been born in Milledgeville, but when folks here ask me where I'm from, I tell them with boastful pride "Barnesville, Georgia!".
Keep up the excellent work, and I look forward to coming back on a regular basis to see what's happening in B'ville. Y'all are my family.

You are unstopable. A first rate staff, first rate reporting, and now an easy to navigate on-line source with real Classifieds!
I feel like paying for this one. It is a good value.
I have a suggestion. To the thousands of long term subscribers, why not full story access from one computer per subscription? I love my printed paper but would like to have it on line also at times.
Are you planning on running the classified ads as soon as they are submitted to you, or will they always follow the printed paper? It would be nice if they appeared on-line as soon as submitted to you and set up by your wonderful staff of stable people. It could be an enticement for more advertising dollars if ads could get out there quickly. I'd pay a small surcharge for an instant ad for my auto for sale listing.
Great work!
As for the pay portion of the site, we are really getting our feet wet to see what we can handle, what we can offer, what our readers want to see offered, etc. In the future we may have to make some adjustments in order to keep offering top notch support. However, we will not penalize our subscribers. In fact, they are at the top of our list of folks to consider when offering content online.
As of today we will also start releasing exclusive online content which can't be found in the newspaper. That will include some multi-media which is exciting for us here at the HG.
Lastly, good point on the classifieds Me2. I know I personally hadn't thought of that but I would think that because online is immediate we would begin to run classified ads immediately on a different "fee scale."
As always...stay tuned!
