Lamar investigators are on the scene of a possible homicide at a residence on Chappell Mill Road.

UPDATE: The victim and suspect have been identified.

UPDATE: The LCSO has issued a news release on the shooting death.

The male subject had just been incarcerated in Butts County on unrelated charges but released and now a possible murderer in Lamar County. Geeeesh seems like nobody is scared of our Lamar County legal system.

When are you people going to wake up....

Prayers for the families of all involved. There is so much meanness going on today.
People are too quick to hurt, maim, kill someone for the slightest infraction.

I'm sorry for the family, and I hope the perp is caught and prosecuted. This has to be devastating for loved ones.

All lives matter. Bullies often become murders. People who kill pets often kill people. If we stop the bullies early, instead of letting them have their way or blaming the victims, it will certainly reduce more serious crimes.

Some people do not get that. We need to stop them before they escalate, not after.
