Little Children of the World directors and advisory council held a special called conference on June 5-7, in Etowah, Tenn., to honor Dr. Bettie Elwood and her husband Dr. Douglas Elwood, who retired from their leadership positions May 31. They elected Glenna Houk Waller of Barnesville as the new president and chief executive officer.
Serving as chief financial officer and vice president for the past 11 years, Waller is the wife of Lamar County Sheriff Larry Waller and daughter of Dean and Peggy Houk of Barnesville. Bettie Elwood is her aunt.
Glenna Waller accepts the title of president and CEO of Little Children of the World from her aunt Bettie Elwood, who recently retired from the post.

What a RACKET!
LCW keeps very little of the sponsorship money for administrative costs, as evidenced by the very low salaries of the office staff here in Barnesville and the basically non existent salary of Mrs. Waller. You have really hit a nerve with me on this one because my child is over in the Philippines with LCW as I write this. This is an effort that is near and dear to her heart and she works, saves and fundraises all year to be able to participate in this ministry. Her costs are not covered by LCW. Instead of making accusations of racketeering on the part of LCW, why don't you take the time to research the organization.
I think what you will find is that they are a christian ministry to street children who don't have the luxury of the aforementioned government funded entitlement programs. I could go on and on, but I won't. The information is there for anyone interested in learning about LCW.
