I read this address twice and here is what I gleaned.
Mass mobilization is needed
Each district and club should discuss how to carry this fight forward in a way that results in new friends, new readers of the People’s World, and new members of the Party and Young Communist League. A few ideas:
• speak to neighbors and friends about their health care stories and suggest what they can do.
• share coverage of the Peoples World in either its print or electronic form and ask if they would like the paper every week in one or another form.
• prepare a special agenda for your club meeting with invited guests.
• help build participation in rallies and events of unions and other organizations.
• organize speak-outs and town hall meetings with others.
• collect signatures on petitions, make phone calls, employ the internet, and organize visits to your elected officials.
Now, I don't want to become a Marxist or start reciting the communist creed. I want to stay blanketed in democracy, if possible. However, I keep wondering, do we have a Republican club in Barnesville? Do we have a Democrat club? If so, how can folks become involved? We need to be educating our folks and having our voices heard locally as well as nationally.
and the down fall of America continues.i'm just glad i came along during some of the best years this country ever had.the sad thing is, there is nothing anybody can do about the outcome.a country that would elect a person like obama and al franken are blind enough to follow their preachings and be lead down the road to distruction.as i said years ago folks its only going to get worse.
You might think change is coming. Be ready to die attempting to force the "change" down our throats because we're ready to die stopping it. Pay attention Washington!
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson
P.S. Jefferson also said "Every generation needs a new revolution"
Perhaps Washington leaders should spend a day or two refreshing on the US Constitution and some quotes from some of our forfathers.
It is our duty still to endeavor to avoid war; but if it shall actually take place, no matter by whom brought on, we must defend ourselves. If our house be on fire, without inquiring whether it was fired from within or without, we must try to extinguish it.
Thomas Jefferson
What is it exactly in the message from the CPUSA that you disagree with? Is it the need to be aware of issues and mobilize support for them? If you disagree with the agenda of the CPUSA, then tell me in specific terms what you want instead. Do not just say, "I want freedom." Freedom from what?
Am I crazy for thinking medical care is a fundmental human right? As an example, let me point out that most people in Lamar County--indeed, in most of rural Georgia--cannot not afford an organ transplant or cancer treatment, even with insurance. The CPUSA might not have the best solution, but at least its members say what they believe.
What is your solution? Tell me what you are for, not what you are against. Calling the president names or associating him with some weird Bilderbergian conspiracy will not lower the price of gas at Flash Foods.
Before you speak, learn a little about communism. If you've never saw it then you don't know what it is. And if you are already a communist, then you are an enemy. You obviously don't know what freedom is either so I don't give you any right to address me about the subject. First you go out an earn that right to discuss freedom.
Communist and other people can get health care regardless of if they have health insurance or not. Doctors take an oath not to deny health care to anyone.
Lastly, it is NOT government's responsibility to provide you with health care. Government's responsibilities are well defined. Research them. If you want wealth and other benefits like health insurance, earn them like everyone else has had to do.
Why do you think they should be provided?
Rational! I don't think so. But, I'll give you three guesses what I think, and the first two don't count.
these people voted him in now we all have to deal with him and suffer

I do not see any reason to make this issue personal.
I would hope that you retirees who believe that people should not participate in government health care have not signed up for Medicare coverage, and I certainly hope you do not expect anyone else to pay for your prescriptions. I certainly hope you do not expect vaccinations for your children. I pray that no one you know will get cancer or need a transplant, driving them into bankruptcy and forcing them to give up everything they have worked for their entire life.
I am grateful to live in a country that is wealthy enough to afford health care for its citizens. I think we do have an obligation to take care of each other, just as we, as citizens, have an ethical obligation to pay for each other's police protection, fire protection, and roads. Why should health care be different from education or unemployment benefits?
Our whole society benefits from taking care of each other. We did not have to defend Britain in WWII, but it was in our best interest to do so. Similarly, we do not have to provide free vaccinations to poor children in Lamar County, but it is in our best interest as a society to do so.
I am not going to call you names, Gary M. I am glad you are able to express yourself without fear of a tyrannical government. But I do not see the founding documents of this country as necessarily conflicting with humanitarian principles. I want to live in a just society that takes care of people who cannot take care of themselves. I have a civic duty to promote those efforts.
I agree, there are some things in life that should not be subject to profit. If we go to socialized medicine it will be due to the medical industry pricing their selves out of the range of the common man and the insurance companies playing risk averaging instead of providing a viable product. Presently, health care plans are a way employees can be held hostage to a company because of preexisting conditions. I believe all people should be on a plan no matter who you are and it should be independent from your employer. A plan for an individual is so much much higher than a group plan and this should not be the case because the coverage is the same. In many cases Billy Bob would rather has a bass boat instead of providing his family with health care coverage.
We are organizing a Tea Party in Lamar County from 6-9pm next to the Post Office on Labor Day-we are inviting everyone that is fed up with the way this country is going to come and be heard.
Walter is heads-up on this. Great comments from the readers, better than anything I could say. I'm amazed at how blatant the left has become and how many sheep blindly follow this madness. Keep fighting. ...MM
What is your plan when people decide that they will no longer go to medical school because they do not want future obamas telling them how to do their job? Don't worry, by then the government will also have control of that issue. They should go and dig up the aethist that wanted prayer taken out of schools in the first place. Settle down, yobama will have another term. Too many freeloaders out there who will never work and support themselves. In fact, he may be president forever. He can just change those old rules of the forefathers.
This is a comedy act that you just wrote, right? What country do you speak of that is wealthy enough to afford health care for its citizens? Is it the one that owes China $350 Billion? Can't be because that would be The United States.
Anyone who has signed up for medicare has put in their time and probably served in the military when we had a real country. Now we got a wimpy president who does not even like Americans. Keep following him, it sounds like you already support his comedy group.
I know about the Tea Party.. and have been encouraging everyone I can to be there..If you want to express your anger for our out of control government.. then be there!! There is power in numbers! Obama is shoving his agendas so fast that most heads are spinning. He wanted a stimulus at once(for shoval ready projects that turned out to be not ready) or disaster would stike America.. now 6 mos. later with about a tenth of it spent.. he wants a 2nd one.. millions of jobs lost.. people hurting & he wants to increase the pain with Gov. health care.. and the Cap & Trade (raising our electric & gas, maybe double for everyone.) He rushed this thru Congress.. & wants to ram all his other plans down our throats!! He doesn't listen to the people.. he believes we are stupid & will just sit silent.. well... I WILL NOT!

Armed and ready.
