By Pam Geller:
I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied history all my life. I think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis.
Yes, these exist but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

But being the eternal optimist that I am (or perhaps the ostrich with her head buried in the sand), I'm unable to believe that we Americans would ever let our freedom be stolen from us.
I place alot of the unfounded economics that have been taking place and the feet of the Ivy League Professors who have all the theories that Washington seems constantly to purchase. These theories in general lack a firm foundation, in my opinion. We get to pay for the results, and the Professors claim academic freedom for their
scourage on the population of America.
I wonder what the outcome is going to be. I dont think it will be the the populations favor, but in the bureaucrats favor.
You must be aware else you wouldn't have worded your comment the way you did. If your head is buried, at least you lift it enough to see what’s going on. It’s the people that have their head buried and cemented in that is bothersome.
Communism is a political and economic philosophy with a goal to motivate the common people to riot. It will paint a picture of a model government, whose economics would destroy the upper class (actually capitalism) allowing the less educated lower class to believe they are being freed from tyranny. According to The Communist Manifesto, Communism has ten essential planks: 1. Abolition of Private Property, 2. Heavy Progressive Income Tax, 3. Abolition of Rights of Inheritance, 4. Confiscation of Property Rights, 5. Central Bank, 6. Government Ownership of Communication and Transportation, 7. Government Ownership of Factories and Agriculture, 8. Government Control of Labor, 9. Corporate Farms and Regional Planning, and 10 Government Control of Education.
The writing is already on the wall about tax. Spending is out of control and the deficient is in the trillions. Government is lying to the lower class attempting to persuade them into believing they will not have to pay. Most of them believe it. Confiscation of property rights is a well camouflaged terminology for “Gun Control”. One thing I learned in the military is that once government has disarmed the people, the people have nothing to fight back with. Government now has no fear of the people which is something Mr. Jefferson also warns the free people about. Have you not seen the bail-outs in progress? Government (Obama and his followers) have an eye on the banking industry. They are using our tax dollars to put a noose around the bank’s neck to control banking. Government is working to end free speech and the majority of the people are too blind to see. They want to control free speech and silence the fingers being pointed at them before the lower class can wise up. Government has just reeled in one of the largest companies (General Motors) in America. And they put “Labor” in their back pocket by violating the law and slamming the hammer down on the investor to award and blindly trap and corral the labor union. Government has been going after the youth for some time because of government control of education. They have effectively removed God and religion from the schools convincing you it was in the interest of separation of Church and State according to the Constitution. However, separation of Church and State is not mentioned in the Constitution and has always been a matter of interpretation originating from a letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist.
Communism further demands the abolition of both Religion and the Absolute Morality founded upon Religion. After Communism is instituted by the people, the system becomes Totalitarian, resulting in greater oppression of the people it was designed to serve. Under Communism, the government is absolute. Under Stalin, perhaps the most notorious Communist, around 40 million Russian citizens were murdered for the good of the state. People under communist rule have only found horror and atrocity from a government that renounces religion.
In a nutshell, communism is a tool to overthrow capitalism using the lower class pitted against the upper class in a worker revolt to establish a lower class utopia in theory. In reality, communism takes the form of coercive, authoritarian government that cares nothing for the people and whose leadership only wants to preserve their control and hold on power. Welcome to a little bit of hell.

"And now we have elected a man no one knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla, Alaska."
First off, to say no one knows ANYTHING about him is an ignorant statement. Secondly, a town as big as Wasilla? The population of the entire state of Alaska is only 686,000. Atlanta's population is 538,000.
I remember The Pledge of Allegiance and Lord's Prayer every morning in grammar school. We looked out the window at The United States Flag and placed our hand on our heart. I remember being very cautious at school because to be called to The Principle's Office was an insult. I also knew that when I got home my Mother would take the teacher's side. But, I know of no one who got a spanking that did not really deserve it. The "P" word was Pregnant and the "F" word was "Fool." I knew that both were not accepted conversation. I remember staring at Mexicans because I had never seen one. I remember going to The United States Post Office to get a form to send for my Social Security Card. I remember when it came to my home mail box. I remember my first big lie that I told. I said I was older than I actually was in order to work at a peach packing plant in Thomaston. I remember walking to church with my brother and sister and the thought of anyone trying to hurt us was UNTHINKABLE. I remember when my four brothers served in The Military. I cried alot then. I could not understand why my brothers had to go away. I remember when the draft was eliminated. It was around 1969. I was so happy. Now that I am wiser, I know that was step one of the downfall of MY AMERICA! Write back all the insults and smart cracks that you can think up. It will not change my mind. I didn't read books about this, I lived it.
Thanks for your comment. I enjoyed the read.
Thanks for your input. Personal experiences are always worth sharing. I do disagree with some aspects of what you are saying. Yes, times are different and in my way worst than they were when we were in our youth. I do have to say with no reservation that we, as a people, are in a much better place than we were in the 1960s.
I have worked in the Space and Defense industry since the early 70s. This type of work was then dominated completely by white males. Anyone who walks through my work place today can clearly see the gender glass ceiling has shattered and racial barriers have broken down. It’s the same for countless other industries, as well as, educational opportunities. Take stroll on a college campus today and one will experience a rich pluralistic environment. The social problems today are not as much racial or gender specific but cultural.
The fact that we don’t presently have a draft is absolutely wonderful and I ask that you explain how it could possibly be otherwise. Our nation has turn more multi-cultural and now more than ever presents the opportunity to experience something new.
I do agree there must be an uprising in this country. The interest and constitutional rights of the common man is being circumvented by the ruling class manipulating our democracy. The media’s ability to balance real journalism with the profit margin has gone completely off course. A democracy is utterly useless without truthful reporting. We haven’t seen real journalism since the Vietnam War. Thank God for the internet, but how long until that will be filtered beyond any shred of reality.
We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving.
Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate.
Do you agree?
She lost me starting here:
"All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals..."
As a so-called professional writer, she loses credibility with me for using such absolutes as ALL and EVERYTHING. Her rant is filled with, and intended to spread, fear and hatred.
Yes, television and video games have changed the cognition of young people, often for the worse--but I think we need to look at homes, not schools for the reasons. I think the schools are better than they ever have been, but family life is the foundation of a strong society. Home-schooled children do well because of their parents and churches, I think, not necessarily because they eschew the public school system. I see no dumbing down in the schools, only frustration as children refuse to learn.
If society is breaking down, perhaps we need to examine why so many young men have absent fathers and why so many young women merely imitate their mothers. Pray for them and their parents.
I am no communist, but some problems are too big for individuals to solve on their own. Perhaps we Americans no longer trust the idealistic rhetoric of our leaders, but let's not talk about America in the past tense, as though our rights have already been taken away. We are blessed to live in a wealthy society at a time when we can solve problems that have plagued us throughout history.
I agree with Enoch that the problem with the health care industry is health insurance companies. No plan that merely requires people to purchase health insurance with solve the problem. The profit needs to be taken out of that part of the industry. It's unethical and immoral to deny someone the best care because he or she lacks the financial resources to make it profitable. Quite frankly, as a citizen I find it embarassing that our health-care system is based on nineteenth-century economics.
over our bar of excellence.
The middle east largely hates us because we give so much support to Israel, which is the epitome of what an Apartheid state can be.
Hitler took a defeated people, and restored them to national prominence. He should of left it at that, and yeh he was anti-Semitic. But before he made a move on the Jews, the Jews made a move on him. Instigating an economic boycott of the German people.
I wondered how long it would take for someone to make said comment.

HOW LUCKY CAN WE BE TO HAVE SUCH BRILLIANT MINDS
IN CHARGE OF OUR ONCE GREAT COUNTRY!!!
"IN GOD WE TRUST"
My 1st grader is using formulas in his math and using a vocabulary that I didn't get until MUCH later in school. Yet, my generations and those past in the last 5 decades have come further and done more then in 200 years of our history as a nation let alone the worlds knowledge.
We are worth preserving as a people of the human race not just a used to be country. Change is inevitable and should not be considered a bad thing. We MUST change and adapt to survive.
Fear, bigotry, and hatred are sad and should not be catered to.
We as a people and a nation are a melting pot- this means that we can not stand by old time ways ignoring the need for change as we change. CHANGE IS INEVITABLE. Even for our great nation.
