Rabid animals found in Lamar County
The State Laboratory has confirmed that two foxes have tested positive for rabies. Health officials are urging residents of the area to stay away from wild or stray animals that appear to be unafraid of humans and those that exhibit behaviors that are unusual of their characters.

Maybe some of these people with free-roaming pets in Lamar county will get their animals rabies shots. Isn't it required by law that dogs be vacinated?

does anyone know if us in the county should report if we see anything? and what about coyotes?

Coyotes are out in daylight and less afraid of humans. I don't know about rabies.
