An article in our 7.14.09 print edition contains incorrect information regarding the succession process for a sheriff deemed to be incapacitated.

Well I am sure this is comforting to Sheriff Waller. That the biggest local news source is letting the citizens know what happens if he dies. What a great thing to read while in the hospital.

Considering the fate of Mister Waller's brother, he would do well to make his health issues the primary concern and step aside now. No job is worth a plot in the graveyard.

Thanks for the clarification about the process involved in selecting a replacement.

Hopefully Mr. Waller will do the right thing for himself and the county.

With BW there, it's in good hands anyway. He proved in Milner he can handle running the show.

A health issue could happen to any of us, at anytime. So I guess we should all just pack it in and call it a day. Just because a family member had a problem doesn't mean the "sky is falling". It's amazing how people think or how little they think.

SHERIFF Waller's brother was his brother, not himself. I don't know you, but you are one smart mouthed unnecessary person in my book. Since you can't seem to wait for him to resign, gives me a pretty good idea of who you might be wanting back in office. In my opinion, the right thing was done for this county when he was elected.

Would you be surprised to know that SHERIFF WALLER has been back at work since his release from the hospital?
