After 26 years with the U.S. Postal Service, postmaster Sandra H. Hudson has announced her early retirement.

I have to say that the Barnesville Post Office and it's employees are some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with.
They are a great example of customer service and I hope that this continues without Sandra.

Sandra it has been a joy working with you over the past "several" years. I will miss our pow- wows and laughs to keep from crying while trying to solve little problems.
I wish you continued success and many years of happiness!!!!!

I too always have enjoyed working with you and your staff at the post office and sometimes I even have to admit after 26 years my own postman (we know who that is).

Do not look at this time in your life as an ending but a new beginning. May all the right doors open wide for you!

Was she forced early retirement, it has a comment " Accepted Early Retirement" I know the Post Offices are not doing so well, so I was just wondering.

She is so sweet , she is one of our everyday customers at mcdonalds. We are going to miss her.

Sandra was a truly wonderful person to work with and for. She was more than fair to everyone, and always willing to help anyone. I have nothing but the highest admiration and respect for her. I will miss her greatly, but wish her a happy stress-free retirement!

"postmistress"? That term is not used any more. She is retiring from the post of Postmaster.

In the past few years of belt-tightening, many companies make an offer of early retirement in order to cut staff without laying people off.
Usually the early retirement package has some "sweeteners" to make it attractive to those employees who are near the retirement mark.
Surely this is the case with Sandra.
