Sheriff's investigators and deputies have determined a car that crashed into a tree on Fredonia Church Road near the C&B convenience store at approximately 2:30 p.m. Thursday was stolen.

A couple years ago, I moved to Barnesville and was introduced to this site. At that time, I was absolutely stunned that a public site allowed so many racist comments. As a result, I stopped logging on to the site. However, last month, a friend of mine from New York told me to check out an article on the site. I must say that I am very pleased that things have cleaned up. I just want to say thanks to everyone that is NOT contributing to the negative comments. It really serves well to the statement 'One Nation Under God'.........

Our site and online news, in general, has come a long way. While we can't moderate everything we do moderate a great number of responses. Barnesville.com is more than just a news forum. It is a voice of a community. People read the site to see what the people of Lamar County are like and how living here might be.

It is up to all of us to keep our dialogue on the up and up!

We contacted the sheriff's office just yesterday. There has been no new advances in the case. There have been some rumors but no press releases or official statements have been made since last week.

i couldn't agree more,i'll bet if you looked at the stats you would find obamma voters commit more crimes per captia than any other voter group.i wonder how many white conservative voters steal cars and rob stores?but you can bet your sweet butt that the majority of the car thiefs and drug dealer POS's are obamma voters

Yes, blue collar crime is probably more rampant in what has now been identified as Obama's primary voting demographic. But what of white collar crime? I would be willing to bet that more corporate criminals, book cookers, ponzi schemers, and double dippers are card carrying republicans.

Crime is crime. There is always a victim.

what would you rather have a white collar crime where someone cooks the books at a business or some wanna-be rap thug shooting you for your car?lets be real here where would feel safer?on hilton head island or at east-lake meadows housing project? at least you admit that bule collar crime is more rampant in Obama's primary voting demographic but at least in a republican demographic area your less likely to die

A crime is a crime. No one knows if this guy even voted for Obama or not. That was a racist comment in it's lowest form. It had nothing to do with the article some things are better off not said. God did not create us to hate one another for the color of our skins we are all sister and brothers in his sight. God help us all!

It is a voice of a community" and thats whats makes this board what it is.i might not agree with what someone says and lord knows people dont agree with me alot but at least we have some where to voice our opinions and thats a great thing.i read this forum a lot and i am very impressed with the statements the various people post.i think we are very lucky to have this forum.everybody needs to remember that none of us are right all the time.enjoy folks but be carefull you just might learn something

I am not a racist and want to be fair to all people in my dealings with them. I have black and white friends, but when I see the local Atlanta news every morning, it does seem to be more blacks doing the random and drive by shootings. If you don't believe this, then take one week to watch the news closely.This is NOT to say all black people are criminals.. We have plenty of low life white people..

I would never ever raise my kids in Barnesville how anyone could I dont know I hated it there and its why I left barnesville will never change it will still be a racist town. I would rather live on the streets than to move back to barnesvile Lamar county
